STREET FOOD CINEMA

Each Street Food Cinema event is like a mini-festival: not only do they host outdoor film screenings, but also food trucks and live musical performances. The event heads are stepping up their game this year by throwing at least one outdoor movie screening every Saturday night from May 2 to October 1 at 11 different locations throughout the city. They'll be showing some old favorites like Jurassic Park, Purple Rain and Back to the Future, and featuring food truck staples like Cousins Maine Lobster, Kogi BBQ, Grill 'Em All, Grilled Cheese Truck, Carb & Nation and Komodo. One of their biggest bands performing is indie rock outfit The Rebel Light.

Most of the screening locations are dog-friendly, and there's even a VIP (Very Important Pooch) section at the locations where you can get your dog water and a place to do their doggie business.

Street Food Cinema's general admission is $12, reserved seating is $17, children from 6 to 12 is $6, and children 5 and under are free. There are limited tickets available at the door, which you can purchase with cash starting at 6 p.m. for each event. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., band plays at 6:30 p.m., and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Most locations allow dogs except for Culver City's Syd Kronenthal Park. More info can be found on Street Food Cinema's website.
